For over two years I had a very severe, recurring pain in my left eye due to an erosion on the surface. I saw several doctors and went to the emergency room twice with very severe pain and swelling. The pain would occur most often at night, but the effect would last thoughout the day, affecting my daily routine at home and at work. The pain would be so severe that I would also get recurring headaches and my vision would be blurred. Many doctors advised that the erosion would heal with lubricating drops but after two years of pain, I decided to undergo PTK laser with Dr. Gartry. The laser was a quick procedure and after about a week of taking care of my eye with the prescribed medication I felt much better. Since my procedure (three months ago) I have not had any pain in my left eye and I have not once had pain at night. From time to time I use lubricating drops but overall, my eye feels completely normal with no discomfort. The treatment has solved my problem and I finally feel that I have gone back to a normal life. I am very very happy with the results.
