I am a senior consultant within the NHS but also one of the most senior consultants within a major independent healthcare provider. I am privileged to enjoy easy access to and knowledge of leading UK consultants. David Gartry is certainly one of the UK’s very best, if not the very best eye specialists. Suffice to say that despite my position within an alternative healthcare provider, I chose to have treatment at an external organisation just so that David could treat me.  In terms of treatment, David was highly professional, thorough, patient and informative. As doctors, we know that outcomes are what really matter and for that reason amongst others I see him as the “doctor’s eye doctor”. I would not hesitate to have any member of my family also treated by him.
