My eyesight declined from my early forties, first needing reading glasses and then varifocals. By my late fifties I needed them constantly, for work, for driving, everything. I found them a continual frustration. Covid and mask wearing made them all the more irritating. Learning of RLE was a revelation. Every step of the process, along with the results I could expect from the surgery was clearly explained by Professor Gartry and his team on my first visit. The process was painless throughout, I elected to take two days off work for each surgery event but on reflection I could have returned to work the day after. From the moment I took the dressing off the day after the first surgery I have never worn my glasses. On the post surgery consultation I passed the eye test with 'Royal Airforce Standard' sight. I am delighted and thoroughly recommend Professor Gartry and his team if you are frustrated by failing eyesight.
