I had a prescription of roughly -6.5 in both eyes and was incapable of doing anything without my glasses. Within 2-3 hrs of surgery I was reading number plates across the street where I wouldn’t have been able to even see a car before! The whole process was remarkably quick – of course I was nervous but the medical staff and Dr. Gartry assured me how normal this was and guided me through the whole process. Now the initial shock of my new 20/20 vision has worn off slightly but still on a bright morning I’m reminded of my experience as I pick out leaves, branches and colours in such amazing definition.
