The Daily Mail ran an article today about laser eye surgery. As someone who has always pushed for more regulation in the industry, David Gartry was asked to give his thoughts on laser eye surgery and how regulation can help make it safer. In 2007 he was one of the first surgeons to attain the Certificate in Laser Refractive Surgery of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and was instrumental in it’s implementation. It is always advisable to talk to the surgeon before your laser eye surgery procedure, find out what qualifications and experience they have and make sure that your decision is informed.
