I had my LASIK surgery performed in January 2024 by Professor David Gartry at the Moorfields Private Clinic and it is definitely one of the best decisions I’ve made. The initial assessment by Professor Gartry the month before was very thorough and reassuring, and I could book the surgery within weeks after the initial assessment. The procedure itself was very quick and straightforward and the day after I was able to go about my normal life. The redness around the eyes faded within a week or so. Since then, I have loved not having to use contact lenses or glasses every day, and this has been especially useful for holidays, swimming and my recent wedding day. The three month follow up was also very thorough and reassuring and I am so pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone who is considering it!

I was very lucky to have Prof. Gartry look after me and my eyes on my recent LASEK surgery. You shouldn’t compromise on your eyes, so if you can, go to the best! Prof. Gartry showed so much care and gave so much reassurance. It was a genuine care. Everything about the whole process, all the explanations and after-care instructions was so thorough, that I had the upmost confidence that I was making the correct choice. My vision is now near perfect and it has been so freeing to not have to rely on any prescription glasses. Not a single regret about this all, and I can’t recommend Prof. Gartry enough!

I had LASEK done with Professor Gartry and could not be happier with the process and the outcome. The whole operation is ran very well and with a fantastic level of care and information – there was no sense of pushiness or trying to hard sell services like some places, just genuinely giving you the best advice for your eyes. Being partially sighted in one eye I was somewhat anxious about having the surgery to my good eye but Professor Gartry was very clear and straightforward in explaining the risks, giving his opinion and ultimately letting me make an informed decision on the matter.

Having gone ahead with the surgery I am now fully healed up with better than 20/20 vision and couldn’t recommend this more.
