I would highly recommend getting the laser eye surgery done by Professor Gartry. He was recommended to me by my optician and another ophthalmologist. He took time to explain why he recommended LASEK as the more suitable eye surgery for me. The experience on the day of the surgery as well as the aftercare in follow up appointments was excellent. I now have 20/20 vision, no dry eyes and very happy with the overall result considering I was -6.75/-6.00 beforehand! (surgery done in March 2024, so I am writing this review at the 3 month mark)

Professor Garty performed cataract surgery on my left eye. I was very short -sighted -14.75 and had lost even more vision due to the cataract. The morning after the surgery I took the patch off and I could see clearly without glasses! It’s now 4 weeks after the operation and I just need -1 glasses for driving as I have an existing retina condition so never expected my sight to be this good, my expectations have definitely been exceeded. Professor Garty and his team were very pleasant, helpful and reassuring and answered all my queries promptly. He is very talented and the operation at Moorfields was painless and nothing to worry about, I would highly recommend him.
