Amazing service and care from Professor Gartry and his team throughout the whole laser process. Every single detail of the procedure was thoroughly explained during my consultation, and any questions I had reassuringly responded to in detail….all made for an easy decision to go ahead with Professor Gartry for treatment.

The laser procedure itself was so quick and pain free. Being long-sighted (& with a very high prescription in left eye), I never really thought I’d be a suitable candidate for laser…I was very wrong on that. I could feel the benefits immediately post surgery. The healing process itself was very seamless….initial achy/gritty eyes were quickly soothed with aftercare drops. Whole thing still blows my mind and results incredible, being able to do something as simple as reading a text message or just reading full stop without glasses is amazing to me, hadn’t been able to do that in years!!I just wish I’d done it sooner.

If anyone is considering laser treatment, I can highly recommend Professor Gartry, I felt in the best of hands and care. What he has done for me is amazing. Any fellow long sighted people keen to explore laser, Professor Gartry is the ideal person for you. So very grateful to him. The procedure I had was bilateral Wavefront guided IntraLASIK treatment.

I am delighted with how the operation went and the subsequent checkups have been excellent. I decided to have LASEK rather than LASIK as I wanted to continue contact sports. I chose David Gartry because 2 colleagues had laser-eye surgery with David too and were pleased with the outcome.

I was impressed by the initial consultation with David Gartry and subsequent checkups following the operation last August. Although there was inevitable discomfort from the LASEK surgery in the week post-operation, I regularly met with David Gartry and his team who were very supportive and after a fortnight my eyes were feeling much better and not having to use glasses is fantastic!

I had my 3 month review last week, and I am delighted with my eye sight and there is no discomfort. I am also pleased to say I am not suffering from dry eyes either.

My eyesight declined from my early forties, first needing reading glasses and then varifocals. By my late fifties I needed them constantly, for work, for driving, everything. I found them a continual frustration. Covid and mask wearing made them all the more irritating. Learning of RLE was a revelation. Every step of the process, along with the results I could expect from the surgery was clearly explained by Professor Gartry and his team on my first visit. The process was painless throughout, I elected to take two days off work for each surgery event but on reflection I could have returned to work the day after. From the moment I took the dressing off the day after the first surgery I have never worn my glasses. On the post surgery consultation I passed the eye test with 'Royal Airforce Standard' sight. I am delighted and thoroughly recommend Professor Gartry and his team if you are frustrated by failing eyesight.

I was considering getting laser eye surgery for years and finally pulled the trigger when a colleague recommended Dr Gartry. I can honestly say it has changed my life. Waking up every day, being able to run, swim, drive without glasses or contact lenses, has been just incredible.

I can’t recommend Dr Gartry enough. I was nervous about the process but he made me feel completely at ease, taking the time to explain what was happening during the procedure, and making sure I was comfortable and confident in what was happening.
