Suffice to say that despite my position within an alternative healthcare provider, I chose to have treatment at an external organisation just so that David could treat me. In terms of treatment, David was highly professional, thorough, patient and informative. As doctors, we know that outcomes are what really matter and for that reason amongst others I see him as the “doctor’s eye doctor”. To have laser eye surgery with Professor David Gartry was such an amazing experience. Considering I am only 21 years old, this was a big step for me to take and was the first surgery I have ever had done.
My eyesight was extremely weak and was making life very difficult but when I came across a Professor Gartry, I was thankful I took the step to look into laser eye surgery. The actual procedure is not painful but the first 3 days was quite difficult to deal with. However, I would say those three days were worth the pain as I could not be happier with my eyes. Professor Gartry guided me through every step of the way and reassured me with regards to any concerns that I had. After surgery when I needed assistance from Professor Gartry out of hours he was able to assist me straight away via phone call which was extremely useful. The staff at both the Wimpole Eye Clinic and hospital are extremely lovely as well as Professor Gartry himself. I would highly recommend getting Lasek done if you are considering it and to get the procedure done by Professor Gartry. I have no regrets and am so happy with how everything turned out in the end.
My experience with Professor Gartry and his team at the Wimpole Eye Clinic has been excellent. I had a check up booked in a timely fashion and all of the staff were polite and professional. Professor Gartry himself was easy to speak to and answered all my questions and I had another appointment before booking he treatment where I had another chance to go through everything.
The website and videos online were also very informative. On the day the treatment was very fast and everything was explained clearly including the eye drops application. The 3-month check-up was organised at a time that suited me and I am very pleased with the outcome. I did not have any pain and only experienced a bit of stinging which was managed with the local anesthetic drops which I only had to use until day two after the procedure.

Very happy with the results from Dr David Garty and his team at Wimpole Eye Clinic. I was one of the few who required a re-treatment which was very easy to arrange and ended up going for monovision. I liked the open door policy and found the treatment very straightforward and easy.
