I am so happy with the result I have achieved through LASIK. Professor Gartry and his staff are absolutely brilliant and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking to have laser eye surgery. I had worn glasses since the age of 3 and had very poor eyesight – minus 10 in my right eye and minus 8 with an astigmatism in the left. David Gartry was recommended by my optician, and I came for treatment in the hope that I might get ‘close to good’ vision without glasses or contact lenses. The results are beyond my expectations – I have 20:20 vision in both eyes. I’m very pleased I decided to have laser surgery – and thoroughly recommend it!

I underwent LASIK treatment with professor Gartry after experiencing severe headaches and regular eye strain.
The treatment was unusually for long sightedness, which is fairly uncommon. It gave a excellent result without the need for any retreatment and I now have 20/20 vision & all of the strain and tension has disappeared. I would highly recommend Professor Gartry.
I wanted to say a massive thank you for the wonderful operation you performed with my cataract surgery. You gave me better vision than I ever imagined or dared hope for. I still marvel at the beauty and clarity of the world around me and appreciate it every day – often walking to the river near where I live to gaze at the long view to Tower Bridge. It’s fantastic being able to read signposts, posters in the street and even ‘Poems on the Underground’. The week after my second surgery I went to Parliament Hill to look at the view right across London. And having driven using spectacles since I was 28, I still find it strange for a second when I get into my car and realise I don’t need glasses.
This is also a thank you to the whole team especially Chris, Jolene and Andrew for their kindness in helping me through my absolute terror at the impending operation and my conviction it would go horribly wrong. And for their patience and understanding in answering all my questions and phone calls.

Very pleased with the results and the service. Information prior to decision was excellent, whole team very professional. During surgery felt very comfortable and Prof Gartry talked me through everything so I knew what was happening. After care was excellent – happy with speaking whenever I needed to discuss anything.
