I had very strong astigmatism pre-LASIK and did not like wearing glasses, but was also finding contact lenses increasingly uncomfortable to wear. When I decided to have LASIK surgery, I wanted to ensure I was in good hands. David Gartry was very reassuring indeed and explained exactly how the surgery would work, as well as the recovery period. On the day of the surgery I was a little nervous of course, but he put me at ease quickly and the surgery was over before I knew it. I did experience some strong discomfort post-surgery, and there was quite a bit of aching and soreness which lasted longer than expected. However, I got some eye drops from Moorfields and this subsided quickly. I am so pleased to now have near 20/20 vision, especially having had a prescription of -7.5 previously, and would recommend David Gartry to anyone looking to have laser eye surgery.
