Lectures at City University

David Gartry gave two lectures at City University today – the first was on the surgical management of cataract and the second on outcomes and post-operative complications. The course module at the University ‘Vision in the Aged (Cataract and AMD)’ takes into consideration the ageing population and the need for optometrists to be familiar with age-related changes in vision and eye conditions in the elderly. City University is ranked among the top 5% of Universities in the world and students studying Optometry there enjoy a very close relationship with Moorfields Eye Hospital.

It has now been 3 months since I had the LASIK eye surgery with Dr Gartry. It’s safe to say I am more than pleased with the outcome. I have gone from a very high short sighted prescription of -7.00 to now having better than 20:20 vision! The whole process from start to finish has been very efficient and Dr Gartry himself put me at ease with his friendly yet extremely professional manner.

I received first class, excellent service throughout at David Gartry’s clinic. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional at all times. The results after having LASIK surgery are nothing short of life changing. It is amazing to open your eyes in the morning and have 20 / 20 vision. Since the age of twelve I had to search for my glasses in the morning – now I have perfect vision! It is amazing and I would highly recommend David Gartry to anyone considering having laser eye surgery.

Lucy

Fantastic! Wonderful to have vision!

Rosie

I am thrilled with the results and the whole process from start to finish. Thank you all very much!

Stephen

Excellent service. As good as is I would expect. Everything was explained clearly well in advance. Very happy.

Charity event for St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group

David Gartry attended  a ‘Sight for Life’ charity event on Wednesday 10th June in aid of the St John of Jersusalem Eye Hospital Group. The charity, which also runs St John Ambulance in the UK, is the only charity providing eye care in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. You can find up to date information on the charity at their Facebook page.

I am thrilled with the care and service from all of Mr. Gartry’s staff and equally delighted with the results of my cataract surgery which after just one week is 20/20. Thank you very much.

I’m extremely happy with the result of Lasek, and with the level of care, friendliness and availability of staff. From -6.25 to better than 20:20.
